"Kim did an outstanding job caring for my three cats.  She is a compassionate person who was very concerned about all the details involved in their care.  I found her to be timely and responsive.  She was very patient when meeting them, & didn't demand immediate friendship with them (you know how cats are -- many of them need some time to decide when & whether they want to approach a stranger).  She was also very patient in learning all their possible hiding spots so she would have the best chance of finding them on her visits.  She sent me an email every day describing every visit in great detail - how the cats behaved, where they were hiding, who came out, who ate what & how much, & how healthy each appeared to be.  She was careful to tidy up around the litter box after cleaning it, & to wash out their wet food dishes (she only leaves wet food out for about twenty minutes -- never overnight).  She also had no objection to including a few small chores -- watering a particular plant; grabbing the mail; that kind of thing -- & I think would have been happy to do more, had we needed it.

 

Overall, I found her approach to her business to be very professional - organized, neat, & conscientious.   She was enthusiastic about attending to all the details, and about making things function for our ease & convenience.  I would not hesitate to recommend her to anyone needing a pet sitter.  I should add that my top two concerns in hiring someone unknown were responsibility & affection for cats.  I give her top marks in both categories.  I always worry that a pet sitter might really be a dog person just picking up some cats on the side for the income.  But I didn't find that about Kim at all - she treated my kitties with compassion & attention".

(Jack & Flo had come from Idaho to see the Seahawk game on 12/21/08.  This was during our snow. I was to sit their dogs at a hotel while they were at the game. My husband Norm drove me to the hotel. They were apprehensive of driving in a strange city not knowing where they were going in the weather conditions, so he offered them a ride. What a shame it would have been to come all this way and miss what you had come for due to the snow).
